Two playersEach player's screen only takes input for their own side, and only on their turn; the server checks this for every action. Both players see the whole board, each from their own end.
Turns & movementA round has 3 turns; each turn White activates one piece, then Black does. The same piece may activate any number of times. 1) Click one of your pieces to select it. 2) Move the mouse to aim the card, click to place it. 3) Slide the piece along the card, click to confirm (costs 1). Drag the round handle to rotate (costs 1). Esc steps back.
AttackingSelect a piece; enemies inside the front half of the piece, within one card's reach, light up. Click one to attack. Both roll a d10. Once per activation, no movement cost. Attacking after moving forfeits the rest of your movement; attacking first does not.
Damage & DurabilityOn a successful Contested attack, the attacker rolls its own Damage attribute in d6 and subtracts the total from the defender's Durability. At 0 or less the piece becomes inert and leaves the board. A side with no pieces left loses.
Contested vs. UncontestedContested (orange): the defender's front half-disc also reaches the attacker, so both roll. Uncontested (purple): the attacker is only in the defender's back area, so no roll-off. It rolls (Attack Class - Defence Class, minimum 1) d6 of damage.
Hit chanceEach targetable enemy shows its odds while a piece is selected, based on the current Attack Class vs Defence Class matchup across all 100 d10 outcomes (a 10-vs-10 Critical Clash counts as not a hit). "Auto-hit" = a normal Uncontested Attack, no roll. A "*" means the attack would normally be Uncontested but is downgraded to a Contested roll-off because the attacker is distracted.
AttributesEach piece has its own Speed (movement per activation), Attack Class, Defence Class, Durability and Damage. Use the Imagon builder above to edit your own pieces and try different builds. Edits carry over to a new game.
DistractionA piece that an enemy could hit with an Uncontested Attack (purple dotted ring on that enemy) can't make Uncontested Attacks itself. Rule variant (see Test controls): those targets are either blocked (grey dashed ring, not clickable) or the attack goes ahead as a Contested one.
Share this page's URL (it includes ?room=…) with the other player. First to join plays White, second plays Black; anyone after that spectates. 1) Click one of your pieces. 2) Move the mouse to aim the card, click to place it. 3) Slide, click to confirm (costs 1). Drag the round handle to rotate (costs 1). Esc steps back.
